Tucked away in the idyllic Cornish countryside near the historic villages of Looe & Polperro, Polean Farm offers a retreat from the bustle of everyday life. This haven of tranquillity boasts four dog-friendly cottages, each a testament to the rich history of this 18th-century farmstead, and designed with the modern holidaymaker in mind.
Whether you’re a family, a group of friends, or simply seeking solace with your furry friend, Polean Farm’s self-catering cottages offer something for everyone. The farm’s collection includes The Mealhouse (sleeps 2+1), Waggoners (sleeps 4+1), Rosebud (sleeps 6+2), and The Old Farmhouse (sleeps 10+2). Each cottage, tastefully decorated and spacious, has tiled floors and a secure courtyard garden for your pet.
We are pleased to announce that we have decided to join in the motoring revolution and are installing a 7KW electric car charger at our farm, making life far easier for any guests with electric vehicles. It will be installed in a designated parking spot in the car park so that all guests at the farm can use it (charges will apply). The charger will be easy to use and will be in place by the end of May.
We are also very excited to announce that we are installing a large (3.8m x 2.36m !) Hot Tub / Swim Spa in the Farmhouse garden for the exclusive use of guests staying in the Farmhouse. The spa has hydrotherapy seating for 9 people (with water jest on your back) and has room for 3 more in the pool with you at the same time – so the whole family can join in ! What is more the spa has swim jets – so you can exercise by swimming or jogging or do aqua fit training against the current (assuming that you want to exercise while on holiday !).
It will be in place and ready to use from 15th June 2024.
Guests booking now will get free use of the hot tub / spa during their stay.
Stay with us in for a week in Cornwall and get three hours of free dog training for up to two dogs – allowing you to have fun with your dog, while teaching them new skills and improving their obedience. The training is open to all breeds of dogs – and all abilities (but is only available on certain dates – see below).
The training sessions will include tricks, general obedience, social manners such as greeting people without jumping up, walking together off the lead, and general recall, covering all levels from beginner to advanced.
The training will be taken by Sam who is a full time qualified dog trainer. Sam trains dogs in a way where they WANT to learn, thus providing a much more enjoyable reward based experience for both you and your pet. Sam uses the most up to date and well established training methods that are tried and tested to be very effective, this is reinforced with toys, treats and bags of praise.
No longer do you have to be embarrassed to take your dog out in public, or be fearful of seeing other dogs walking in the park.
The training will consist of two 90 minute sessions on the Sunday and will take place in our 23metre x 50m indoor training arena – which is just 100 yards from the cottages.
The training would normally cost £80 per booking but is free for guests who stay with us for a full week in one of our four dog friendly cottages (Mealhouse, Waggoners, Rosebud and The old Farmhouse).
To check cottage prices and to book please either make an online booking for one of the available dates by calling Sarah on 07594 146339 Or you can email us at poleanbookings@hotmail.com

The beauty of Polean Farm’s location is the plethora of nearby walking trails. From the farm, you can walk to the coast and along the scenic coastal path.
