Polean Farm Cottages: A Dog-Friendly Escape in the Heart of Cornwall

Tucked away in the idyllic Cornish countryside near the historic villages of Looe & Polperro, Polean Farm offers a retreat from the bustle of everyday life. This haven of tranquillity boasts four dog-friendly cottages, each a testament to the rich history of this 18th-century farmstead, and designed with the modern vacationer in mind.

Whether you’re a family, a group of friends, or simply seeking solace with your furry friend, Polean Farm’s self-catering cottages offer something for everyone. The farm’s collection includes The Mealhouse (sleeps 2+2), Waggoners (sleeps 4+1), Rosebud (sleeps 6+2), and The Old Farmhouse (sleeps 10+2). Each cottage, tastefully decorated and spacious, has tiled floors and a secure courtyard garden for your pet.

At Polean Farm, we understand that dogs are part of the family, and that’s why we’re happy to accept up to two well-behaved dogs per cottage, with a small fee starting from £10 per night per dog, capped at £50 per stay per dog.

But our hospitality extends beyond our cosy cottages. Our guests and their four-legged companions have the freedom to explore our vast fifteen-acre exercise field, where dogs can roam off the lead and even enjoy a refreshing dip in our ponds. Don’t worry about muddy paws; there’s a hosepipe in the farmyard to washdown your furry friend ane keep them smelling and looking their best!

The beauty of Polean Farm’s location is the plethora of nearby walking trails. From the farm, you can walk to the coast and along the scenic coastal path. If a beach day is on the cards, you’ll be spoilt for choice with six all-year dog-friendly beaches near Looe, including the quiet Talland Bay Beach, Hannafore Beach with superb rock pools at low tide, the expansive shingle Seaton Beach, peaceful Lansallos Beach, Downderry Beach perfect for long walks, and the serene Lantic Bay.

After a day of exploring, refuel at our local pub, The Jubilee Inn, less than a mile away down quiet lanes. Not only does this delightful establishment serve great food and drink, but it also welcomes dogs and boasts a fantastic beer garden where you can unwind and soak up the Cornish sunshine.

Polean Farm dog friendly holiday cottages are more than just a place to stay; they’re a destination, offering a charming blend of history, comfort, and natural beauty. Here, you and your dog can enjoy a memorable holiday filled with adventure, relaxation, and, most importantly, the freedom to roam.
