Nestled in the picturesque market town of Ross on Wye, you’ll find a hidden gem that’s been lovingly brought back to life – Old Forge Cottage. This beautiful four-bedroom townhouse, only completed in September 2020, perfectly marries modern luxury with traditional charm.
Sleeping up to eight guests and an infant, the cottage is perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a tranquil escape. Each of the four stylishly appointed bedrooms is designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, ensuring you feel right at home.
But it’s not just two-legged guests that will be spoilt for choice. Old Forge Cottage warmly welcomes your canine companions. Ross on Wye is a dog-friendly town with many shops, pubs, and restaurants proudly displaying dog-friendly stickers and the surrounding area offers an abundance of scenic walks and swim spots perfect for exploring with your dog.
At Old Forge Cottage, dogs are more than welcome, given prior arrangement and an additional charge of £15 per dog. We ensure our four-legged guests have everything they need for an enjoyable stay, providing dog biscuits in the welcome pack, dog bowls, blankets, and even a ball for a playful game of fetch. Old towels are also available for drying off your pet after a fun-filled day.
Beyond just providing dog-friendly amenities, Old Forge Cottage has also ensured a secure environment for pets. The courtyard garden is fully enclosed, keeping your dog safe while they explore the small lawned area. There’s even a handy hose for washing muddy paws after an adventure.
For the benefit of all guests, we kindly ask that pets are not left unattended in the cottage and that they refrain from exploring the furniture or venturing upstairs. Stair gates are provided to assist with this, and any pet-related mess must be cleaned up promptly.
Old Forge Cottage is ideally located for outdoor enthusiasts. Right from your doorstep, you’ll have access to great local walking, cycling, and canoeing opportunities. A short drive will take you to the heart of the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, and Malvern Hills for even more outdoor adventures.
With secure parking for two cars and only a stone’s throw away from the riverside, tea shops, and pubs, dog-friendly accommodation Old Forge Cottage truly is a home away from home – a serene sanctuary where both people and dogs alike can unwind.
