Ladywell House was built in 1806 as a manse for the Rev. George Buist, designed by the famous architect, Thomas Barclay. Steeped in history, the Georgian home has an intriguing past, once being the residence of Frances Shand Kydd, and receiving visits from Diana, Princess of Wales, and her sons, the Princes William and Harry.

The main house sleeps up to 12 adults and 2 children across six bedrooms. Each room exudes its unique charm, featuring three en-suite rooms, two family bathrooms, and a downstairs loo. Social areas include a comfortable drawing room with an open fire, a light-filled conservatory, a TV room, and a dining room that can seat up to 14 guests.

Adjacent to the main house is The Steading, a self-catering cottage dating back to 1809. Recently refurbished, it now offers a comfortable and modern haven, housing three bedrooms with two bathrooms. Enjoy the bright, spacious sitting room, which opens onto a large patio through French doors.

Combined, Ladywell House and The Steading Cottage accommodate up to 20 guests. They are ideal for large groups or families seeking dog friendly large accommodation amidst Scotland’s stunning landscapes. Cots and highchairs are available for babies, ensuring our littlest guests have everything they need.

Beyond the comforts indoors, there is plenty of outdoor space to explore. Large and stunning gardens surround the property, featuring a sunny terrace, a walled garden with trampoline and swings for children, and even the possibility of arranging a hot tub for your stay.

With regards to being dog-friendly, the grounds provide ample room for pets, and the surrounding area is laced with quiet, dog-safe walks. Your furry friends will feel just as welcome as you do, with plenty of space indoors and out.
